Ok here are a few images of the blizzard and clean up going on my area. For those that don't know yet, we got hit with 95.5 cm of snow, thats roughtly 38 inches of snow in just over 24 hours. In my back yard there was a snow drift that was 6 to 7 foot high.

Its so bad that for the first time that anyone can remember Halifax has a curfew on from 10 pm to 7am just so that they can clean up the streets easier. This is actually the second night for the curfew as they had one last night too.

The road I live on had nearly 3 feet of snow on it (thats just the road itself). it was partly cleaned this morning. A front loader went down the center of the street so that people could at least move around.

I grabbed these images off the net, I'm tying to get my hands on some more pictures from my friends, they could take a couple of days to get to me thou.

I feel like crying...I thought 2 feet was alot here. *wanksta packs his stuff gets in the car and heads to GB's house.*
Toronto really hasnt had that much snow this year. It must have something to do with our clean air.

Well i think we are almost out of winter *knock on wood*
for God's sake please don't eat the snow.
Its only the yellow stuff you're suppose to eat right? :D

If my back was up to it, I would get on the roof and do some flips down into the snow drift ourside of my window hehe
Oh ya, forgot to mention that all busses are not runnin, mainly because there is a 5 to 6 foot hill to climb over at each bus stop :)

All close are closed even the universitys. Its gonna be a few days before halifax is back to normal.
We have lots of snow in New England as well
Here are some more images that I just got back. Each image is about 500k. By the time the pictures were taken, the snow had melted a little so things are not as high as they had been.

This picture is of the snow bank infront of my place. At the time I still had about 4 feet of snow to dig out to find the edge of my drive way.

This is the snowbank on the other side of my drive way. I had it most of the way to the edge of the driveway, but still have about half a foot to go.

Here we are looking down my street. As you can see when they plowed down my street they made it just wide enough for 1 car to go down and thats it. Notmally 2 cars can go down the road easily. They plowed the street 2 days after the storm but weren't actually going to plow it for at least 4 or 5 days untill people complained that they could not drive their cars (let alone walk) in nearly 3 feet of snow on the road.

This is looking up my street, the plows made it wide enough for 2 cars to pass there as thats a main street, but I'm on a dead end road.

This is the path back to my oil tank, I had to dig through a nearly 6 foot tall drift to get there.

No snow here in mid-south this year! I'm sad too...wanted to try out the Jeep on some ice.
maybe you should make a trip to Halifax I hear four wheeling is the only way around town
It used to be, heck for a while there in some places around nova scotia, they were asking people with 4 wheel drives to help get emergency people to places.

Everything is pretty much cleaned up now thanks to the rain and sun we've had since then.
looks cool to me GB. But I don't have to deal with it, so i'll enjoy from afar.
