a friend of mine has this for a desktop. all it is is an html file used instead of a bmp or jpg background. I think it only works in xp and 2k though. I would've used it, but I'm so used to mine that I felt it counter productive to use a new setup.

Install one of the executables from that URL and once installed and opened go to Help --> Register Software and in the window it will have a "Hardware ID."
