ok so I reinstalled - fritoman - 10-04-2003
I reinstalled CS and Ricochet on my computer and for some reason it didnt make icons on my desktop, so I went in and opened CS exe and activated rico and refreshed the games but still cant join cus it says I am operating a different protical or some crap like that. Do you think I need to download the old patch again to make it work or am I just not doing something that needs to be done to make it work?

For CS and RC you'll need to get HL up to the latest version again. CS will also have to be up to 1.5 to play on WON. If you just can't find the .exe's to start the games up, put these lines into your run prompt:
C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game ricochet
or for CS...
C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game cstrike

thanks man, Ill give it a try. I think i still have the update from Valve burnt on a cd somehwhere.
