Enabling OpenGL - RushJet1 - 10-06-2003 Hey, as I've been playing Ricochet on the Vad servers lately, people have been saying they don't know how to get OpenGL/D3D working. I'm just going to put a simple guide up to show how to do it. First, open Ricochet and click on "Configuration." Then click on Video. Next click on Video Settings. Now you're in the config area. This should be the screen you're seeing if you're in Software mode. Ok, click on either Direct3D or OpenGL (I prefer OpenGL, it works much better with my Nvidia card than D3D does). Set your resolution to whatever you want as well. If you have a Voodoo card (eg. Voodoo3 2000 or something like that) use the 3dfx mini driver. Otherwise, use the Default driver. Hope that helps-- it should make the game run much smoother if you have a somewhat decent videocard (Voodoo3, Geforce2 MX). *EDIT* If you cannot see one of the images above, you might have to click refresh. Sorry about that, the BellSouth server isn't doing so well right now:) Enabling OpenGL - soulsolution - 10-06-2003 not all cards support opengl\d3d Enabling OpenGL - RushJet1 - 10-06-2003 Which is why I said "If you have a somewhat decent videocard":) Enabling OpenGL - PIX - 10-06-2003 If your card doesn't support OpenGL these days, stick to playing Solitare.
