Nothing like advance notice for you, but the web server will be down
tomorrow (1/7) around noon 12PM EST for about a half hour. We are moving all
of our stuff out of oar.net to our new facility. We have our own OC-3
connection now which Williams Communication Group. So when I bring the
server up it will have new IP. My DNS guy is going to switch the all the
domains to new IP right before I bring the server down. So it will take
about a half hour to transport it to new place and then bring it back up
with new IP.
The new IP will be:
64.192.186.3
Sorry for the down time. Oar.net will only let me take the server between 9
and 5 so I just picked noon. I was going to replicate and have no downtime,
but I didn't want to lose anybody's changes or email.
So no web or email for your domain for half hour around noon. All the mail,
ftp, and www domain names maintained in our DNS servers will be changed to
have new IP. But depending on your cache (whether ISP or your comp) might
take a little while before the names resolve right.
