A new world beginning
New hopes, new dreams
Now I just hope it's all that it seems
I push myself onward, toward the goal ahead
Only to find it never existed, once I'm dead
This fleeting feeling in my heart
The candle's still lit
Seemed not to flicker, not one little bit
The dream seemed real, I walked down the path
Oblivious to what might come in life's aftermath
It felt so alive
Ideal warm to the touch
Only to have dived in just too much
I grasped for the light, the power to this soul
I was grasping for air, an abyss like my whole
How could this happen
Joy almost secure
I lost all the feeling that countered the fear
Heart left for dead, soul's contents bled
The dark overcomes me with permanent dread
Betrayed by the mind
Attacked by the hell
Manifested within is the cage of this shell
It became its own end, refusing to live
Let itself go and turn take into give
Give itself freedom
Saved from its hate
The evil no measures could begin to sate
Chained from within is the purest perfection
Tortured by itself, with the darkest direction
Wake up damn me...wake up...
Back to the cave.
