It freaked alot of people out on the Mektek forums when it was first introduced there. For the code did you think of trying http://www.danasoft.com. As for the actual sig though, it was posted a reeeeally long time ago on some board for CS. I think this is because it crabs the information from the webpage, etc as it's being loaded within it. It's not actually a picture but a generated picture. When you try to goto that image directly, it does not work. So, you'd just do [ IMG ]http://www.danasoftware.com/vipersig.jpg[ /IMG ] (without the spaces) in your signature and it appears. They transparently do things to make connections work especially when you have multiple IP addresses behind one internet connected device (router or desktop/server machine).
