Ok. When I am at my girlfriends and she either she or I want to play, we always get the same error.

In the top right corner of rico, sometimes, at least 3 minutes after I start I get the warning

Warning: CL_FlushEntityPacket

Sometimes it goes away and I can play, other times it lasts forever. I get around 3000 ping at this time. I have tried changing the rate in the console and I don't know what else might fix it. Any ideas?
Is she connected through a router? If so make sure she has the correct ports forwarded.
Good question. All I know it that she is at a university and has not had any problems with any internet connecting thing that I know of. (P2P and other online games) So I don't know if that is the case or not. :-(
It's the connection. The only thing you can do is try to 'tweak' rico like you were doing.

I wouldn't do the windows connection tweak though.
Thanks buddy. The Cl_latency doesn't work for rico but I did the rest and nothing has worked yet. f anyone has any other ideas, I would be glad to take the advice. Thanks guys,
knowing the connection speed would help, but

cl_cmdrate 25
cl_updaterate 25
rate 6500

may raise your ping a little but it should give cl_flush a bit less often, it helped on my 56k, i use cmdrate as 17 and updaterate as 20 and rate 3500 - don't get cl_flush now like i did with the factory settings:P lol.
ITt's ethernet 100mpbs but we don't get that over here. I don't know what it is because I don't live here but its pretty quick DSL or faster at least. I'll keep trying for you guys. Thanks for all of the help.
some connections are fast for downloads and uploads but they still get short disruptions in the connection making it bad for games because of choke/PL/whatever, this happened to (iirc) lil face that got a cheaper DSL line from a different ISP which had faster speeds, but had to switch back because of how much he'd freeze up in games. that warning is just that, and i haven't seen it myself since 56k.

in other words there's zero you can do about it, it's the connection:P

you may, however, want to try hltoolz on the ricochet config file, it lets you change everything from graphic settings to connection settings.
