Here is an interesting place for the people interested in modding half-life 2 stuff. Looks like there will be lots of interesting stuff there in the future and even now there are some tutorials you might want to check out.

did you read their rules?
I like em
Quote:Forum rules
First of all, thanks for reading this far, not many do that. Now when i got your attention, lets start with the rules (and now I lost everyone again...).

We don't have many rules, but we're very strict with the ones we have. Keep in mind that the moderator or admin is always right, you are not. We are able to change the rules or go past them if we want to (if we have to). Don't whine about it, we won't care.

Use common sense - It can be hard sometimes, we know, but at least try (You don't have much of a choice). That means:

No Trolling - Meaning, don't post junk to get people upset.

Do not flame - If you don't like someone on the forums, don't be a crybaby about it. Be mature about it. You can reply to it, but only if you can handle it.

Do not post porn - This include hentai! Hentai might be a wonderful thing but we have to behave, there might be minors out there.

No warez - We know that everyone have warez, but you don't need to talk about it in the forum!

No spamming, cross posting or wrong posting - Do not spam, we don't like spam and if you do, we won't like you. Do not crosspost, it will result in lockage for all threads and you won't be able to get any help. Try to post in the right forum. Stories about your HL2 experience SHOULD NOT be placed in the coding forum for example.

Write good topics - Don't write something along the lines with "HELP!!!11" or "FREE SEX INSIDE!!1" to get people to click on your thread. First of all, we're not that stupid, and second, its against the rules.

No bumping - Do not bump a thread. If no one replyed to it, it means that no one cares. It won't make us care more (in a positive way) if you bump it.

No advertising - We don't want you to pimp other sites or communities if you haven't got the "Go" sign from an admin.

Signatures and Avatars - You're only allowed to have 4 rows in your signature, with no pictures. We want to read the posts, not your crappy signature pictures. You can only have 60x60 avatars or smaller. NO ANIMATED AVATARS.

If you see someone braking the rules, be the mods pet and report it. It will make you look good if you want to be a mod someday.

We want people to post their ideas and designs, and we want to help them. You're not helping very much if you yell at them and tell them how much they suck. If you're going to comment on something, write constructive criticism. Henry Ford once said something along the lines: "Don't find the mistake, but the solution". I hope you will too.

Again, the mods/admins are above the rules, our word is final. If you don't like it, we don't like you.

You normally get 3 warnings before we ban you, but we can ban you right of the spot if we like to, keep that in mind.

Happy browsing!
