openGL or D3D doesnt work on steam for me, appraently i can only run it in software mode.

Reinstall your video drivers and see what happens. Just a wild stab.
Knowing my luck, I'll get home and try ricochet and mine will say that too.

It seems many people are complaining about being forced into software mode and it seems like its a wide range of cards doing it too.


I haven't seen any thing about fixing the problem thou

well, whenever in doubt, re install stuff, thats my new modo. Reinstalling the drivers i was able to go back to D3D. Thanks guys :thumb:

Usually does. You have to think..."my hardware stopped working after this update.....the update must have corrupted the driver or overwrote it". Too bad you are using D3D instead of Open GL:P

totally agree with P&G that was my problem...well after a couple other problems that evil fixed for me but the last thing that I fixed all by myself was just d/l the newest driver:thumb:
