:thumb:Jumping the gun, eh Arnold? For all of you non-Californians, Arnold Schwarzenegger is being projected by EVERYONE/EVERYWHERE that he will be the victor in this campaign. Currently, only 31% of Californian precincts have submitted their results. Here's how it's going:
Recall Davis?
Yes 1,792,907 54.6%
No 1,488,574 45.4%
Top candidates
Arnold Schwarzenegger 1,486,556
Cruz Bustamante 947,760
Tom McClintock 389,844
Peter Camejo 71,628
According to the 2000 Census, California's population is 33,871,648. It's interesting to note that more people participated in the recall election than the initial one. So even with only 50% or so of the Californian population voting, this leaves a shitload of people's votes that have yet to be counted. Even though Arnold has a 99.99999% chance of winning, it still pisses me off that he didn't wait at least a day before launching his victory speech. This portrays society these days, no one is optimistic, the glass is always half empty. There is still plenty of room for Bustamante to snag a victory. Why is Arnold jumping the gun like this? I personally wanted Arnold to win, but you have to keep your zeal in check and look at the whole of the situation. Battle rage and hindered sight can block you from understanding both the black and the white of the situation. Patience is a virtue after all. If you think I'm getting stuck up on petty details, you have to remember that a lot of "big" businessmen love to play golf with financial partners or opponents that they are just meeting. In most cases, how they play the game reflects how they do business. On another note, that Arianna Huffington is a coward, I can't believe she dropped out after participating in that one debate with Arnold and the other front runners. After disrespecting/insulting everybody and calling people on irrelevant issues, she should have had at least the tenacity to see what people thought of her. Personally, I think she's a cold hearted ***I'm Stupid for Swearing*** that can never stand on her own two feet. Just my 2 cents on the California recall election. :thumb:
