Well we can only hope that VAC2 will be as good as we are all hoping for. I just wish they hadn't told the cheaters that they were going to do it. I would rather see "20,000 people banned from steam today because of cheating." on their news page.

Next week we'll begin beta testing the new Valve Anti-Cheat system. For people playing multiplayer games, there will not be any visible difference while we're conducting the beta, but we will be logging cheating violations into our database to make sure it's ready for general release.
