xbox 360 being revealed today
#1
For those who dont know, microsoft is revealing the xbox 360 tonight on MTV, or CTV (in Canada). I cant tell you where in Europe. My friend who works in a video game store told me some things that the microsoft rep told his staff. It comes with wirless controllers and wifi capability to. Removable hard drive slot that comes with a 20 gig HD (40 gig also available). Here is the interesting part, xbox live. They are going to have 2 packages, gold and silver. Silver is free, but your only allowed to play on weekends. If you want to play during the week you have to upgrade to gold. Also Xbox live accounts are being transfered over as well. Which leads me, and my friend to believe they will have cross compatibility. There was a picture taken from a camera phone of the xbox 360 that was leaked and that is what its going to look like. The controller however is a prototype, so that might change. I dont have time to dig up a picture now, but I'm sure its easy to find. This is all i know and before the actual unveiling so this information is subject to change.

None of that really technical stuff will be on this show tonight. It will mostly be like an informercial trying to grab the casual gamers interest.

Monday night will be the really good stuff and all of next week.

They didnt really go into as much info as I would have liked, but I did get to see some video footage, which was in game. I didnt get to see the controller even tho I really wanted to. Their live market idea is really cool to. It lead me to believe that I will be able to get stuff like mudvayne tshirts for my character in tony hawk. It's also supposed to be fully backwards compatible with xbox.

Anon check out the Ourcolony vid. That is actually more in depth than that MTV special was. Also www.xbox360.com is the official site. You can rotate and zoom in on the console and the controllers.
