Originally I wrote it as a message of being torn between two minds. Normality and the "chariot." Mechanical simplicity and emotionless is the ethereal entity created by the person to do everything in his power to keep himself airless underwater, so to speak. Describes the sudden emotion of horror that overcomes the separate entity when it causes the person to take his own life, because once the person is gone, so is the entity.
In a nutshell, the message is that a person of self-conflict must combine his personas, no matter how different they are, in order to move on with life.
Or rather, your heart is in your own hands. ;)
