Ok guess I should add some to this thread. As everyone knows or at least assumes...acid_head has a soft spot in my heart, although some think the soft spot is actually in my head. I do believe he is a troubled soul and like a lot of us uses online mods to vent and release some of the frustrations of life. He knows the rules and I am sure he understands GB's position and realized it was a temporay ban, once his head cleared. I think it may have gotten further out of hand if he had not been banned at the time, so as far as I am concerned GB did what he knows I would have wanted him to do to maintain the quality of the game and keep other players from leaving the server because they didnt want to deal with the sometimes incoherent rantings. If the time comes that _acid_head or any player is permantly banned his/her name will be posted along with the reason.
Gwarsbane presented his side on blatant conversations about drugs etc to myself and the other admins and it was decided not to restrict the topics on the server and that each individual admin would monitor it as he/she saw fit. As a good admin I can not see GB muting players because he would lose touch with what happened if someone was to complain about something he missed. BUT I have said it before and will continue to say it....Dont mess with my admins. What I expect from them does not include tolerating verbal abuse by other players.
Sorry about including your part of the conversation .asm but we don't want people thinking that acid was talking to himself.
