what sparked this whole thing is that we don't want to discourage mappers from putting 'use' key triggered events in their maps. the block may be good enough for most things but you won't be able to operate the elevator in rc_stalkyard w/ it for example.

i would rather do what wha was suggesting in the other thread. it's not a perfect solution (the 'use' key will be completely disabled for a short while after you're 'pushed'), but it's not bad...and i can already see how i could possibly implement it.
