Starting today I receive an error message saying I don't have a sprite file, tfchud05.spr, and therefore cannot enter a ricochet server. I can go into a HLDM server just fine. I hunted down the sprite in the pak file but it is apparently the wrong version. I have looked around and cannot find anything close.
Does anyone know how I can force a client update on STEAM?

All I can think of doing is download the ricochet cache file from the net and install it. That might solve the problem

Delete the Ricochet cache from your Steam folder and try logging onto a Steam RC server? Should re-download the cache.

i was getting that on my CS game evil, i shut down steam and then the computer, booted back up and it worked

I already suggested that to evil online, (evil online... a new form of ISP that's cruel to it's users?) and he said he'd already rebooted, etc... which wouldn't surprise me, he is knowledgable about computers:)
