I finally was able to figure out how to use my webspace UCSB provides me with... now, I don't think there is a huge amount of space, and the url is rather long ( http://www.uweb.ucsb.edu/~bmac), and it would be even longer if I added a folder for RiP. But basically, I was wondering if we should make an RiP site (despite the steam fiasco), and what you all would want on it. I actually started to make one a while back, and attempted to upload, and discovered the page wasn't working. Anyway, opinions, comments, and if one of you wants to make the page yourself (I'm not too good, I just use frontpage for a basic page) and send it to me, reply and let's discuss. By the way, there isn't anything on the site yet, I'm gonna work on it this weekend.

Yeah, a RiP site would be cool. Make a personal page for everybody. Of course, in this page you'd be showing one of my better shots.

The long link wouldn't matter, for 20 bucks a year I can get you a much shorter URL of your choice =)
I will help with what php knowledge I have, but I'm not gonna help if this is some pussy clan site like all of the other ones :/ Something funny, entertaining, ANYTHING other than what we've seen in the past (I can do it, even with low webspace).

we HAD a website...no one gave a shit about it so i took it down. i asked everyone in the clan for suggestions and help...got neither from no one...so there.

yes, but i'm not interested if no one else is...i'm not going to waste my time...i actually spent a good part of a weekend on that site and was starting to read up on javascript and PHP...and i updated the "news" portion of it regularly (no one read it anyways)...then shalk comes in and says nograffix is going to join RiP and that he would build us a kick ass web page...something everyone can be proud of for once and i got pissed...now i'm getting pissed all over again...so ***I'm Stupid for Swearing*** it.

I'm really sorry .asm... I seriously didn't know you put that much work into it, and I had NO clue you updated it regularly, otherwise I would've actually checked it out once in a while. Maybe we can make it all work this time?:)

I know about your site asm, but I didn't know you were updating it, I checked it a few times and there wasn't much (although that's understandable, none of us sent you anything or gave you any ideas of what to put on it), and then I lost the URL. I never saw mention of it again. We can start it up again, using your space and your page, except maybe this time we'll get our members to support it a bit more.

ok, after this, i'll stop whining (seriously) and get down to business:
scrye, i remember updating the page with the news that you had joined the clan and how proud RiP was to have you. at the time, there was a link from the vadavaka main page to the RiP site. also, you would think that one of the first questions one would ask his clan is: "does our clan have a web site?":mellow:.
anyways:
as for me, i would rather someone else host it. i appreciate the words of support from you guys but i would like to see what kind of ideas others have for the site. i'm willing to help with whatever though.
as for the long link, save your money...we can do it for free (thanks to Pix). the url for the RiP site was at one point just "www.rip_clan.da.ru".
it's known as domain masking... :-D And there are issues with it, as opposed to having a proper rip_clan.com type site... but most you won't notice.:)

when i did join,
actually my first question was "does RiP have a website...
and i asked it many times... but the only responce that i have got was:
"i don`t know"
"yeah i think so"
and "i don`t remember the site"
so i didn`t even know that we had one or not,
and i thought that maybe there will be a link on the vadavaka site, so i went there and seen the [*RiP*] link but when i tried to enter in all it said was "coming soon"
