What the heck is TeamSpeak?

What is TeamSpeak? I see this term so much and am just curious.
Is it a dedicated audio server for talking to your team?

Team speak is a 3rd party program that allows you to talk with each other with mics over the net.

I have used it a few times but I'm not big on programs like that at all. For good sound you need a dedicated server for the teamspeak program and you also need to have a good connection if you are using it while playing a game.


Its not bad I suppose, but again I'm not a fan of these mic programs.

I would recommend Ventrilo for its simplicity, TeamSpeak however for its eye-candy but is overall more complicated.

I've tried Ventrilo and agree it is better, but I still don't like mic programs hehe

some people use team speak to ghost players in game so they know where the enemy is.

Ya that is one of the draw backs to programs like that.
