Computer Problem
#1
Recently when I start up this computer, it will tell me:
Drive not ready-Startup stalled

I think the computer is waiting for the drive to work before starting up and I'm guessing its my CD-RW messing up cause its light is turned on when it says that. All I do is hit ctrl+alt+delete to make it go. But this computer will be goin to my sister now so I want to have it working good before it goes. Or should I just reformat before we give it to her so it will be "brand new" ?

If you think it is an issue with the CD-ROM...you might want to try to open the case and unplug the ribbon cable
from the back of this CD and see if it will complete booting to Windows.

The first question I ask is when was the LAST time this computer booted correctly and to completion? Is this something
that just started? If so, have you done ANYTHING different...such as other new stuff, software..etc?

I would say it started week/ week and half ago. THere is nothing new on the computer, thats why I don't understand why it would just start doin it for the heck of it.
