No idea when the prices of the other cards like the XT9800 or XT9600 will drop, but now that the X800 cards are released the price drop for all the other cards can't be too far behind. :D

This is why when everyone was going ga ga over the nvidia card I was saying just wait till the ati card comes out then you will be able to see.

I laughed at the people that tried to compare the geforce 6800 to the radeon 9800xt its not a fair comparison the arcatecture are different.

Lots and lots of reading now that the X800 has been release. Even if I had the money now though I would wait 3 to 6 months and see what the average gamer says

My guess is that the 9800xt 256 meg card is still in the $700 Canadian range in price, this card was just released monday I think.

So give it a month and the 9800xt 256 meg cards should come down in price and so will everything else, or at least they should, specially seeing as how it looks like the x800s will be sold for $550 bucks Canaidan or about $400 bucks USD.
