If you want to play an MMORPG which you can try out without paying at all, there's at least Runescape if you haven't tried it. Unlike World of Warcraft, the adventures and quests are fun and enjoyable most times, lots of skills to use and raise + you have no need to download the software at all, you'll just reach the game through Flash.
