Microsoft.com is down!
#1
As of five minutes ago I have been unable to contact microsoft.com from any of my machines / servers. When I checked the DNS it told me the servers to contact, and when I tried to trace route to those, it dropped off inside the MSN network....

... sounds like some newbie engineer just changed that setting that they promised they'd never do again when this happened a while back !:D

you know that is kind of a scary thought with how much some of us depend on it day to day.

Just to prove I wasn't lying:

Akamai/Internet DNS Problems (Updated), Exploitation of IE URL Spoofing, MS Re-Releases NT 4.0 Patch, ISC Site Under Heavy Load

Reading that it seems that I found it within 10 minutes of happening... Just goes to show I use the net too much:D
