WSAEINTR: Net Send Packet Error
#1
I really often have troubles with the Half-Life Error WSAEINTR: Net Send Packet Error.
So I decided to search for solutions of this problem. This error is caused by the Microsoft Winsock Control which is the center for all transfers of data when using a Microsoft Operating System

In my case, they didn't help much, but I think this is different from PC to PC.
• Try these links for some solutions for the problem(They are detailed and contain more links for solving the problem:
http://cs.helpandsupport.net/?aid=37
http://cs.helpandsupport.net/?aid=40<>
• Ths problem often appears on Windows Xp Systems. It seems that Microsoft changed something in the latest version, which causes
the collapse of Halflife. If possible try to take another Operating System. Try to get the latest Updates from microsoft.com<>
• Many users with 56k Modems have this problem, because their connection causes a loose of packets while transfering them.<>
• Many people fixed the problem by deactivating all unnecessary internet protocols in the network setup.<>
[st]Here are some general console commands for problems with the connection
Type <command> <value> in console.
There are also some good scripts, where you can optimate your connection during the game

Command | 56K | ISDN | DSL | Lan |
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
rate | 3500-4500 | 5000-6000 | 7000-8000 | 9000-20000 |
cl_latency | -120 | -70 | -50 | -50 |
cl_updaterate | 20 | 31 | 40 | 50 |
cl_cmdrate | 30 | 35 | 40 | 50 |
