Not sure if anyone noticed but...

Start steam up and click on settings, there is an interesting little item there.

Vac status: In good Standing

Least thats what mine says. Maybe this means that Vac2 starts up with steam itself and starts protecting it from then on. Or maybe just part of it does.

Either way didn't notice this before.

hm it would be good when VAC2 protects the whole steam network, not only CS:S. :rolleyes:

yea..those cheaters at source are annoying..hope it is what I hope it is ^_^

wait so if its installed with the steam client....they now have a forced server/client anti cheat? Finally something good about steam.

It would make sense. It would be much better for security if part or all of it was loaded when you started up steam.
