I don't remember seeing gman turn black and white in the beginning or Ravenholm being so light. I'm guessing the reason hl2 played ok on my pc is because my video card defaults to dx7, less rendering.

The verdict is that I don't want HL2 any more or less then I did before and I still don't think that its worth more then 20 bucks Canadian to me.

Graphics were nice, physics were interesting. I'm still not interested in single player and I'm still not interested in CSS.

I just want multiplayer and the ability to use free mods.

The price is currently still 60 bucks Canadian plus 15% taxes. and that brings it to 69 bucks Canadian.

Getting it off ebay is useless, I haven't seen a "new in unopened box from USA" in canada for a long time. Most of them are just selling the key and that means you still need the first CD (which they tell you how to download (oh ya that sounds legal)) so I don't trust them.

If I get it for 25 bucks USD, I will get nailed with boarder taxes, shipping and other stuff so it will be the same price as just buying it locally.

Can't buy it used cause of how steam works. I want my own account, not someone elses.

And I don't want anyone buying it for me because I would have to give them money for it cause I would feel that they are wasting their money on it. Ya I know its a gift, but still it just wouldn't feel right for me.

But in the long run, if this shows everything game engine wise then its a pretty good test and it shows that I can run it.

If someone wins an copy of it and you don't know anyone else but me thats interested in it, I'm more then willing to buy it off ya for 20 bucks Canadian (about 16 bucks USD) shipped to my door.

FPS was pretty good as long as I didn't hit something with alot of stuff on the screen at once. The Demo is not really a good test for my new card but at least I can play it.
