Why you shouldn't drink in excess amounts
#1
In this thread I shall recount a past experience (last night and this morning to be exact) with drinking in excess amounts in a short period of time.

The night started off rather well, went to my friends house to have a few drinks. Problem number one, he's already plastered. Well no biggie, I'll just have a few drinks anyways. Problem number two, plastered friend keeps getting me to take shots and pound down beers. 5 Bottles and 8 shots in approximately 15 minutes is what I'm told I got up to. Anyways it didn't take long for drunken stupor to set in and thats when shit really started happening (literally and figuratively).

I decided to make an adventure upstairs to talk my friends mom's hot friends because I was horny I think. Anyways, upstairs I went and sat down and talked to them, my memory is extremely fuzzy at this point but my friend told me it went something like this.

Me: "How all yall doing" *stumble stumble*
Red head: "We're good, you look like you're having fun." *all giggle*
Me: "Yea it's pretty rad." *Crash into chair*
Blonde: "Jeez you better take it easy there or you might not be too comfortable."
Me: "How about you come get comfortable with me baby." *B)*
Blonde: "Um..., that's alright I'm comfortable like I am now."
Me: *Start violently puking, hit head on table and passout*

Now you may be saying, man that sucks, but wait, there's more. So there I am passed out and now on the floor with my head resting on my arm(thank you ladies for making sure I did not choke on vomit in my sleep despite my actions). Now I puked, a lot, and pissed myself a lot while passed out, but to top it off, I also pooped myself. Go figure, I have no bowel control while drunk and asleep.

That's about the worst of it all, after that I woke up at some point, went to shower, passed out for two hours in the shower and went home. I'm fairly ok now, I haven't puked for like 3 hours and I think I washed most of the funk out of my clothes. Although I do feel like I'm about to puke still and it's been a lingering feeling, plus I'm super hungry but I think I'll just puke more if I eat anything. Help?

Guess you don't know about alcohol poisoning and people dying from it?

Im glad you made it out safely, this is not always true, I have seen quite a few people get that drunk, it is not an attractive demeanor and you could die, I have seen people projectile vomit....shoot vomit across the room....maybe some will take your story as a warning from a peer, and maybe you can smack your 'friend' next time he tries to kill you.
I have been 'throwup drunk' before, it only took once for me to realize it is not a feeling I ever want again...

other things besides just embarassing yourself can happen
tearing your esophagus especially in young guys who have a tendency to wretch hard when they throw up
if you see blood do not even think about whether to call emergency care or not, you have started to bleed to death internally and the blood in your stomach will cause you to vomit more thus the cycle continues until you die

Drinking is ok, i drink. I probably will keep drinking too. Sometimes i endup drunk, most of the time not. But i know when to stop, normaly anyways, not too many people do. You have to be careful or you can end up getting yourself into some serious trouble. Plus i make it a rule to only drink around people i trust to take care of me if i get hurt. So by all means have fun just dont be a dummy while doing it.

@Miagi: I know about alcohol poisoning it's just that the thought doesn't really enter your head when you're really ripped.

@Scope: I don't know, my friend was practically force feeding me drinks if I'm recalling the situation correctly, and when you've already got a tipsy feeling going on, it doesn't take much to convince you to keep going.

@GRITS: That's scary...

@smartass: Yea it's mostly the same with me, I guess I know who I can't really trust now.

Overall this experience just makes me not want to drink like ever again. I've had fun with drinking but this is the first time it's turned out bad and I don't want to risk it again, because this sucked ass, a lot of ass. I'm just going straight edge now I guess :)

Only good thing about getting that messed up is you hardly ever remember the details and that makes it easier to face those people again

I thought it was all funny once I was cleaned up and feeling mostly better.

@GRITS: That is so true. Today I went over to appologize to my friends mother and it wasn't too bad, but I could tell I did some messed up stuff because of how serious she was about the entire thing.

you just gotta know your limit
I hope after last night you have an idea where the fill line is
I was out camping this weekend, and we definatly drank on friday night, but we all know when to say when, but I remember when I was your age(16-24?) I did my share of puking. But now I know the signs.

heh rule 1: dont let youre friends force stuff down you
rule 2: even if you have thrown up already drink a load of water and have a doughnut or a sandwich before sleep
rule 3: if confronted with the error of your ways later on, claim you dont remember. Whever or not you actually do. It saves having to explain things.
rule 4: always make sure theres someone more sober than you to sort things out. I remember a particular episode where i was searching high and low for my house keys until a good friend got me to check my pockets.
rule 5: get the friends mother some flowers when apologising.
rule 6: sadly, there is no magic cure for a hangover.

Oh and pique try throwing up on the biggest, nastiest looking skinhead in a nightclub. that was fun.

ROFL dude, you pooped yourself
Rule # 7 : Don't tell too many people about this..... :thumb:

I myself have a drinking problem, and Its not a very good one. I drink once in a blue moon.
But when I drink... I DRINK!!
I drink minimum Canadian Club mixed with Gingerale usually I bring a 26 oz to the party, once that is gone I start drinking what ever else is brought to the party, shots of what evere and wash them down with some beer. And yes I am that friend that is sloshed when you get to the party and gets you sloshed in no time at all. :P
I've never had alcohol poisoning or I was too drunk and puking to notice.
It does scare me when I do this kind of drinking, because I have no controle after a couple of drinks. I can't say NO!
another thing that scares me, and why I try not to drink, Is I can switch moods at the blink of an eye. one minute I'm the happiest drunk you'ld ever meet, but it take just one ass to turn my happy drunk'n mess into a violent rage. I've scrapped it out with best friends because they would say the wrong thing.

One thing though.... I never pooped myself. :P
