Should we switch to Olympia?

Alright, heres how I see it, If we were to start again, we would loose our current state, yes. But, we could be one of the first and biggest clans on the server by starting early, and helping each other out to get to high levels, become powerhouses in the wars, get in the top ten clans, and do something awesome. There wouldn't be the annoyingness of leveling alone that some of you didn't have to face. We could all start fresh and become well known on the server.

So the decision is up to the clan.

I'm not that high of a lvl now, but it would be sweet to lvl a character higher than most of the others. Earn senority on it and kick everyone's asses in abyss. I'd imagine the market would be better too without dupers destroying it.

I know I will create a character, probably a rogue first, then lvl a mage with the rogue. Then AOE.

You can basically get to lvl 30 in 1-2 days solo'ing depending how long you play. If we party, maybe 1 day or a few hours.

if we do switch there wouldnt be a reason to play on x, because our whole clan, and all items considered worthwhile would be on the new server. I'm somewhat undecieded.

well if we do change i dunno cause it took me forever to get lvl 50 on mage.
so my answer is in the 50/50's right now.

If we do change we need to make clan have more variety of characters not all same thing.
But the choice of their characters are up to them.

We have 3 priests, 3 warriors, 6 rogues, and 5+ mages. Going by who I remember partying with last.

There is 3 or more of each, can't get any more variety than that.

Besides... people will BE what they would like to be. I even said that in-game. Just suggesting that aggravates me .:bh::bgf:

Well its a tough call for me, it takes a lot of work to get your char to this high a level. Not realy sure i want to send it all for a crap. Plus you lose all your stuff. Currently i think it would be fun and would be an interesting idea. Im sure of the millions of clans out there that several have already thought of this too. So its not going to be like we can just swoop in there and take everything. Its going to be rather difficult. I dont think im ready to give everything up yet. It will take a little more convinceing for me.

I like my characters and my storage full of goodies people gave me. Some of it would take AWHILE to get back. That and I kinda like where I am right now with the mage :P. Rogue is getting there. I doubt I would be able to sell an abyss gem for 2.5 mil on the new server.

the only issue is thatthose abyss gems sell for 2.5 mil because of duppers screwing up the economy. When we joined up and the server was new, and selling abyss for 180k was very decent considering rogue chitin was selling for 9 mil... its all about what the inflation is, not about what the selling price is.

Heres the thing. If we were to restart, I know that few clans would be as organized and have as many members all together right off the start. Back when I was on, abyss were selling for 100-250k, which means that we could actually afford to trade them in for the weaponry, and chitin armor, that it gives. Another aspect to consider is that there will be boss spawns, and colony zone. If we are among the highest levels in the server, we can easily level ourselves in colony zone for better exp and better drops. Still not totally sure myself.

I have to admit we are probably one of the most organized clans and just like it is hard for us to leave our characters, I believe a lot of the "Other" big clans are not willing to give up theirs even more so
give us some pros vs cons reciprocity or myx

I have a lot invested in my character, not just time but there are a lot of the 'store bought' items in my locker

I think we should give it a try for a while, without abandoing the X servers just yet.

make an agreement to make new characters and play on the new server through the holidays and see how it goes
we can always go back to the originals if we dont like it....of course we all have to agree to keep open minds

Not sure if i could keep an open mind about it. I dont realy like the idea of starting all over again. Not many people in the clan know how tireing it is to have to level your chars by your self. Because many if not most of the clan was partied with high levels the whole time they were below level 40. Just something to keep in mind.

Alright... hers some pros and some cons

Pros
We are very organized and it would be easy for us to level with as much time as we play.
We could be a very strong clan on the server.
Everyone would end up around the same level at the end of the week, making it more unified to choose which monsters to fight.
We could get good drops from boss monsters and abyss gems, increasing our power and richness.
We are a sacrificing group, and wouldn't have an issue giving someone in the clan an item if they need it, some clans even scam other members. :/
We could take over the CZ, which opens up the availabillity of Boss monsters, higher exp monsters, gold, and national points.

Cons
We would have to give up our high levels.
We would have to give up our items.
We wouldn't have any friendly clans right off the start.
We would have to level ourselves through the thirties (which does indeed greatly suck).
We would have to give up our gold.


Anyone else wants to add anything, go ahead.

Personally, I haven't leveled my guys as much as the rest so I would be more willing to switch over than our stronger characters but personally, I'm heading for winter break on the 16th so between the 16th and January 9th I won't be on. I wouldn't mind switching if everyone else wants to but then again, I don't mind staying. And honestly, do you really need my crappy rezzer? ^_^

Pros

1. The market wouldn't be so screwed up with high prices. IE. Until the dupers invade.
2. Lvling to 30's will be super fast if we do it together. I did it in 2 days and I was screwing around. But I solo'd the entire time with my rogue I just started, except once. Basically the maps are setup that way. Advance down the map as you lvl.
3. If we don't like it, we can go back.



Cons

1. There will be cheaters galore since its a new server, not sure what the GM situation will be. But everyone would be trying to get higher lvl as fast as possible.
2. Other clans will be doing the same, non-knight clans.
3. We might lose some clan members who are high lvl.
4. We will be poor damnit!


Also, I'm willing to bet that KE will eventually support a locker transfer for Premium users. At least power up store items.

many duping methods have been fixed, so there is less of a chance of mass duping. Plus, with the removal of gold bars, it will be very hard to entirely screw up the economy

not nessecarily, as Hackshield improves, and the admins become better at spotting cheaters, there could be less cheaters here then on any other server.

I might stop on the new server and let you guys lvl me but I am going to stick with the X servers, to much time spent there already, plus I just went premium gold so I have lots of scrolls and speed potions to use there and my new chitin pads :P I have discovered with the speed potions that the monsters can hardly touch me so I am kind of a bad ass B)


P.S. if you do decide to stick with the new server can we keep the clan on the X servers too? Me, Imp, T_N_T, Medan, scope and sniffer seem to get along pretty good and work well together.
