How often do you visit the forums?
Atleast once a day.

What games are you playing now?
If you ask snow or frito, I haven't been playing KE too much lately. Surprise. I play rico DM sometimes, definately not as much as I once did. Back during WON days, I played as much as 8 hours a day :x.
I have been playing this mmorpg called silk road online, but that was two weeks ago.
I think I'm towards the end of my gaming days.
So: KE, Rico DM, and silkroad are the only games I have played recently.

Who do you miss in the vad community?
Just naming people I knew when I joined and haven't seen in awhile.
Severed who was kind of in the community, but not. Great guy and excellent DM player.
Beebs is another person that I have played DM with.
SS who was too awesome in cs, and was an awp... you know..
Morningstar, interesting chats in irc..:(
Wanksta, he shows up once in awhile but then disappears. Funny as hell in CS.
That's all I remember right now. If you aren't mentioned, I don't know you or you aren't AWOL long enough:P.

What was/is your favorite memory in the vad community?
CS. Muahah.. When grits, anon, and a few others were playing jeep rally with me. I got into a car, drove over to their base, spotted them driving towards me, went off the one jump, and landed on their car killing THE ENTIRE TEAM.

TS. When me and DL were messing around with the specialists, not mentioning the rated r' role playing aspect. I threw a grenade at DL, it landed next to her, and I see her turn around and just look at it... Then it explodes and sends me flying backwards. Between her looking at the grenade and me flying backwards, it had me laughing so hard I couldn't play.

TS2. Freefall, for those who were there, they should know:P.

Rico. Testing the plugin evil_admin put in his server, it was a spawn protection plugin by someone, but it didn't work correctly with rico because you were protected if you stood still and didn't move from your spawn. However, a player could still decap you and continue to decap you while heads were falling all over the place, but you would still be alive and you could run around headless. It was priceless to see headless rico players jumping around.

HL2. The hl2 game day we had. The entire time it was fun. My favorite was when I set up a bunch of the detpacks onto the one platform of killbox and frito and someone else teleported to the platform trying to kill me, so I jumped off and then detonated the packs, killing both people.

A) Oooh boy.. so many... I can't really just nail one down.. but looking back on the progression this game and myself have made since the beginning... players befriended, players lost... the overall community has seen its up and downs and we're still here... that would have to be it for me.:)

Whenever i remember really. I aim for at least once a day though.

Nothing in particular. I play a bit of the old ricochet every now and then - practicing lately for the tourney.. That's about it..

I honestly don't know... To pick from the ones people already mentioned... RWS, MorningStar and Punkgirl ;o
Edit :: Oh and the recently departed Raz and DragonLady... Not seen them in the room for 3-4 weeks..

What was/is your favorite memory in the vad community?

humm... I can barely remember what happened yesterday let alone in the entire time i've been here.. I do recall alot of moments where i just cracked up though i can't remember the circumstances for me laughing:(
The latest one (which is the only one springs to mind) is from a KE hunt with frito miagi and vol hunting in uh... Colony Zone?... and we were fighting Deruvish i think and Vol saw a few karus and instead of heating Frito and Miagi like he should he just types "RAN!!" and then towns - leaving the 3 of us to die:Dlol

Due to school I haven't had much time to be online since last summer. However I try to stop by now and then and I always have the forums open in Opera.

I've been playing a lot Sven Co-op lately. Less Ricochet than I wanted but can't help it :/

I miss to being on IRC all afternoon and playing with frito, SS, Fr0oty, GRITS and so on..

The best thing I can remember is being on TS2 with frito and SS so much that I started to think completely in English. That was really cool:)

I visit the forums about three times a day....

The games I play are Rico arena (the good map.) Warcraft 3 and trying to get WoW to work.

There are alot of people that I miss. Jabbahunt, Knightmare, evil_admin, Shakira, PiX, Gboy, RWS, Punkgirl, and even though he casues some problems lil face.

My favorite memory, heh, there are tons of them. When I first met all you guys, when I met GRITS :heartbeat: when I started getting good at rico, when I first met VashEtheR, the first time I heard GRITS giggle endlessly on TS2, and when I got my jr admin.

Nothing hl-based. Although I keep meaning to ask if any of you guys play TAO, Puzzle Pirates or VGAP4

I dunno really. I'm not one of the truly old-guard, so most of the names mentioned don't apply to me as much.

What was/is your favorite memory in the vad community?

Probably being told I had a sexy english accent and should talk more. At which point I read off the instructions for making pot noodles. Or a few other things, eg. jeeprally was fun the few times I played.

KE way to much, but I am back to playing a little CS S because I finally reached my goal in KE of lvl 62, I hadnt played CSS sense SS passed and I had forgot how much fun it was even if I dont have someone to harrasses people with on the server, and as you all know soul was very good at that:Pwe would decide at the begining of a round if we were going to use guns or not and we would throw them down and run into the tunnel stabbing away and usually get one person before we died, I never laughed so hard in my life.

Who do you miss in the vad community?
thats a tuffy, first person that comes to mind is Soul, but I miss everyone that dosent come by as much as they should or even at all, we have had some great times as a group which is amazing considering we really just know each other from the internet, I am still dumbfounded that I am able to grow attached to people that I have never even heard there voices yet I feel like they are very good friends, I catch my self saying "a buddy of mine..." when I am talking to someone I know about someone here in the community.

What was/is your favorite memory in the vad community?
I would have to say playing arena with everyone in its hayday, that was so much fun and to be able to chat in between matches with everyone was just a great time.

if you didnt get mentioned in here and you felt you should have been, then...well... you should have been, because everyone here means something to me and when someone leaves even for just a short time it makes me nervous because I always want this place to be here and to have everyone of you to chat with about anything and everything

Hmmmm, havent talked to DL lately, Anon has been away a lot too. (as much as i hate to admit missing him) Also gameing with the squishster and razor hasent been happening as of late, we had a lot of fun trying out MMORPGs and breaking them all.

What was/is your favorite memory in the vad community?

The time i was playing KE with frito GRITS miagi snow and a few other people and GRITS said something about breaking her "tookie". I was laughing so hard i was crying, we were all on ts2 and everyone on there was laughing for atleast 5 min non stop.

Feeling the burnout of KE since I can't stay level 50 long enough to even matter. I swear...that game hates me...every time i hit 50, I die within 10 mintues, so i go back to 49. (And no, frito, i don't do it on purpose :P)

A) A couple of times a day, at least, unless a computer is inaccessible.

A) I still play ricochet once in a while, I loved seeing the arena server full the other night....but to be honest I have trouble with more than one game at a time and I am heavily addicted to WoW as of late.
We still have the TS servers, HL2DM and even a CS one; I just havenât been playing on them.

A) Definitely "the oldies" a bunch that were mentioned and a few that were not. We will just hang around until they come back for a visit....'they always come back' and they need a place to go and when they do, that goes into my favorite memory category.
I do miss SS, because I know we will never have a chance to see/read/hear him, no matter how aggravating he could be.
And most recently, I miss DragonLady, we talked about girly things and about you guys. And of course, my special player.....where are you?????

Q) What was/is your favorite memory in the vad community?

A) The best thing about the community is the time and love that people put into the community. I guess that is best represented by my favorite memories and the way everyone got behind Ricochet. The way the people that have the knowledge and ability adopted it and fixed it, enhanced it and made maps/characters for it. I said in a thread years ago, 'we are the history of Ricochet', and when you look now, even new people call special moves the names that this community gave them, that is just too cool. The way the community grew from one HL server to 6 servers, teamspeak, mIRC and the website.....all from the goodness of individuals hearts and dedication to this community. Yeah Iâm thinking now, I have way too many to list, I love the way people have gone out of their way to help us with no real rewards and they stick around even when they get crap from people. Taking time and/or money out of their pockets to add to the community, logging on just to hang out together. It is cool to see new people log onto mIRC and then stick around and become regulars. Yeah too many, we need to do a TS2 of memories old and new, I remember how many PMs I got when Beastie's column came out that said I had a thing for a player.
The whole community is great, old and new, here and gone. There is only one player in all this time that I would not want to meet in real life, the rest are true friends on so many different levels, I would do just about anything for y'all.
....then there was a time that I went on one of our servers that was locked.....lets just say.....I didnât realize I was interrupting more than a game:blsh:
How do you pick a 'favorite', out of 4 years of so much fun?

Wow that sounds sort of like the end......not so, just the beginning for making some new memories

The list goes on, there are so many people from the Vad community and the RC community in general that I miss, or that I have distanced myself from because I no longer play RC. Jabba, Punkgirl, Shakira, to name a few but really there are so many more. o_0 All the penguin guys, Gemmak, Knightmare (i know he pops up every once in a while), Hylander, and the others.

Haha well it was a little before the community got started up, but the first day I played with GRITS. Hylander and I were playing and she kept going on and on about how Quickening was something in the show/movie Hylander and I had no clue what she was talking about because my name comes from books. On and on GRITS talked about it and I'm pretty sure I was a jerk to her about it.

Vad community memory, would just be all of us playing RC every night for hours. It was an absolute blast. Just play a round and then just sit there and talk and spectate, all the good times and conversations.

I think I'm going to cry now..j/k.

Right now I am playing KE with Frito & Miagi. there were others from here, but they bailed on us leaving us high and dry in our prime of the game. (I wont mention any names but they play WoW now) ROFL

I miss everyone, they all have a part they have played in my life. it was all good.

I have many good memorys from the VAd comunity, Like DL and Miagi teaming up on me in DM thinking I wouldn't notice. But it only made me a better player. and How about that night Grits was tapping on her 2-key. ROFL I actually laughed so hard I was cry'n, still makes me laugh to this day. (you had to be there)

I vist the forums when I can...

I play just RC as I have always been....

I miss everyone it just doesn't seem like a community in vad that I know anymore, everyone seems to go off and do thier thing but they forget who the people are that brought them there or has brought someone there, it just doesn't seem like the family I use to see in vad. I would love to have that back.

My fav. memory is also what Miagi said when me looking at that damn bomb and blowing up in slow motion lol and when in CS Jeep Rally2 looking at FF trying to jump out of the big rig truck while I shot at him and to see his body fly out of the window in a jumping motion and hit the top of the cieling and die, I laughed so hard after seeing that.

Becoming a junior admin. GRITS and others (though I'm sure not everyone) put so much trust in me and saw that my old attitude changed for the better. I've been something of an admin on a different game before, several times, with much more priviledge than I have here, but it never felt as good as it did and does here. Thank you.

I currently Play WoW, on the Korgath server. I have 2 characters (Mage/Warrior) almost fully decked out in Tier 2 armor/weapons. I usually play WoW most of the time so I dont have alot of time for other games.

Who do you miss in the vad community?

I miss everyone, especially Grits, DL and the CAKE guys... Fun times with them.

What was/is your favorite memory in the vad community?

My fav memory was playing CS with DL and Miagi on the fun maps.. great fun and great laughs.

Man just like Quick said, I would love for one day all of us to get together IN REAL LIFE:)that would be a great day or days or week whatever that any of us will ever forget:)I would love that to happen someday! You guys are awesome!!!!
