"These Days"
#1
Not a song this time. Sorry to disappoint you Blake in case you read the title and got your hopes up. :P

Just a poem, just a vent, and with that said, the main event.

"These Days"
I can't stand the sight of it
The one, the whole
The grace that entangles my mirage of a soul
Feeling overwhelms me and teases my fears
The mind meets the wise that's developing here

The people these days
Flamboyant with emptiness
Blocked everyway
Blind and conceited
They take their orders from an invisible God
Not the one up above, but the paper icon
But I'm still alive
Good God, am I alive?

Dead to the thought that I may be there
So locked in my world that I struggle for air
My own little dream, deluded by fear
Unable to face the beast lumbering here.
I take up my sword, my pen and my word
Contained in my thoughts with no means to deter

The people these days
They bleed just like me
Not always do they notice
Not always do I see
Not everyone's the same
Not everyone's the dead
I found not everyone's cold since you've slept in this bed

This one, this whole, this body, this spirit
And now I no longer have reason to fear it
You're here with me, and I see in your eyes
Never again will I suffer those lies
Tis what I hope, tis what it seems
Then I wake up, tis but a dream

Back to my cave. See you all around.
