grats. I agree with fritoman. Wait to have kids and wait to buy something until you have cash for it.
Learn from others' mistakes....no need to experience them yourself.
Luckily I had a decent job out of college for a few years before we had kids, but CDs and pizza at the university ran my credit card (and school loan) debt up. It took a LONG time to pay that stuff down so we were barely scraping by.

Always treat her like the queen...even when you're right:)
