I voted for Arnold, but not Prop 54. Ethnicity does indeed have an effect on medical care, but not in how you're thinking. People should stop thinking of these questionaires in racist terms, and more along the lines of, "What color are your eyes?" When you say someone is wearing a black t-shirt, you don't think, "Wow, does this ###### have something against black t-shirts? He should have said a dark t-shirt." Here's a quick article I pulled up on eye-care and ethnicity. When they ask you your ethnicity, it's like asking if your family has a history in heart conditions. I'm not denying that racism doesn't exist, all I'm saying is that ethnicity can give medical staff a better idea of what to expect and test for.
