Quote:Valve's Doug Lombardi has finally commented on Valve's products this week. His official comments have been hard to come by following the H-L 2 source theft late last year but this time he was very informative.
"CS: CZ will be available to consumers on March 23 via Steam and at retail outlets around the world..." said Mr Lombardi, on the U.S. release of CS:CZ while Vivendi have confirmed the 26th as the European date.
The important bit of information, unleashed by Doug Lombardi however, concerns Half-Life fans who need all the good news they can get. Apparently expert estimates claiming that H-L 2 would see a September release may not be correct since Valve has confirmed that it is still targeting a summer 2004 release.
Let us hope that Valve will be more forthcoming with H-L 2 news from now on, or at least at E3 so that fans can begin budgeting for the game.

Quote:Word over at MegaGames (thanks Tim) is that Condition Zero will be available for purchase via Steam on March 23rd (it was already announced that CZ would be in stores at this date). This is what was said:
"CS: CZ will be available to consumers on March 23 via Steam and at retail outlets around the world..." said Mr Lombardi, on the U.S. release of CS:CZ while Vivendi have confirmed the 26th as the European date.
It would be interesting to see how popular the Steam-purchasing route will be compares to the traditional in-store purchase (not that weâll be able to see the numbers).
